About University Library

University Library play a vital role in enhancing the learning experience, providing students and faculty with all the reading materials and library services they need to get better their knowledge. University Library is the “heart” of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. University Library is situated at the University Campus that is running since 1976 and easily accessible by the faculties and students. The library is computerized with SOUL 2.0 software. It is connected to INFLIBNET.

    This library provides the world class information support to its users. University Library will have a transformative impact on society through continual innovation in learning, research, inspiration, and entrepreneurship.

    The University Library of the foundation is one of the best academic library with its collection of around 1,85,876 Books, 1,598 Theses, 10,034 Dissertations and other reading materials in printed and non-printed formats. Besides printed books and journals, its collection contains all forms of documents such as CD-ROMs, on line databases, audio-video material, and maps.

    The total construction area of University Library is around 28,000 sq. ft. The collection is housed subject wise for various disciplines. University Library is subscribing around 219 Indian Journals and about 34 foreign Journals. University has started to access online journals through INFLIBNET and U.G.C.-INFONET Digital Library Consortium. More than 5000 online Journals could be accessed. The library has received a huge collection of gratis. The University Library provides the facility of Wi-Fi. The faculties, researchers and students make use of this facility for their study and research. Moreover, the library has dedicated computers for the access of internet for Post Graduate students, Ph.D. Scholars and faculties. University library provides to the needs of different kinds of students. The University Library has efficient and service oriented staff. Working hours – 7.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. - all days (Including Sunday & Public Holiday)
